- Performed an assessment of the EMPI matching logic used to match clinical records with the proper patient, at a large academic medical center comprised of 11 hospitals and over 5,000 physicians.

Examples of Data Conversion Experience
Developed Cache routines to convert patient demographic and insurance information from the Misys practice management system into Epic. Saved 8,000 hours of manual data entry, which was the client's original conversion strategy.
Built conversion routines in Epic Bridges and InterSystems Ensemble to convert patient demographic and insurance information from numerous billing systems into Epic, and to convert historical clinical information into Epic's Clinical Data Repository.
Provided master file maintenance using Visual Basic code to automatically update key master files including Procedure Codes, Diagnosis Codes, and lab order compendiums.
Examples of Custom Report Writing Experience
Responsible for completing both Epic standard and custom Clarity report requests for Professional Billing, Hospital Billing, Cadence and Clinicals, using Crystal Reports XI. Report examples include: Collected Payments by Department and Collecting Agent (user), Co-pay Summary by Department Specialty, Top 7 Denial Reasons with flexible parameters, Signed HIPAA Forms by Patient Class, Appointment Status with flexible parameters, and Radiology Exam Reviews.
Developed custom reports in the Allscripts Enterprise PM application to report key revenue cycle performance indicators and staff productivity indicators.
Implemented custom SQL reports in the Allscripts Enterprise EHR application to report clinical quality metrics, including PQRI.
Provided DBMS to a GE Centricity Business client to provide ad-hoc report writing to support its revenue cycle management team.
Custom Programming Experience
Wrote custom Cache and Visual Basic code to assist an organization with optimizing advanced Epic functionality. Developed custom Best Practice Alerts for medication orders to support clinical protocols including clinical trials.
Developed Visual Basic macros to ensure consistency of dictionary information across disparate systems.
Developed AES code (Cache) to monitor and report interface error activity.
