Rob founded Culbert Healthcare Solutions after twenty years of healthcare information technology experience. Rob began his career at IDX serving large health systems and academic medical centers and his areas of responsibility included programming, Western Region Programming Manager, Eastern Region Customer Support Manager and finally Western Regional Manager for Customer Support and Implementations. For the past eleven years Rob served a number of the largest healthcare organizations in the country delivering and marketing Clinical and Financial Systems Implementation, Revenue
Cycle Improvement, Interim Staffing for Practice Management, Billing Operations and Information Technology.
 
 
 

Brad Boyd, President                                              More

Brad has over twelve years of experience working with entrepreneurial companies to develop and deliver information technology products and services to the healthcare industry. After managing numerous revenue cycle and operations transformation consulting engagements for large academic medical centers and managed care organizations, he then served as a strategy consultant for a venture capital firm in Zurich, Switzerland assisting their biotech and pharma portfolio companies to enter various international markets.
 
 
 

Kristene McLaughlin, Human Resources Director         More

Kristene has been heading Culbert’s HR Department since 2010 and is responsible for managing, planning and developing Culbert’s talent management, benefit administration, HR administration and employee relations. Kristene works to strategically align HR functions with Culbert’s goals and objectives to support Culbert’s growth and leadership position within the healthcare industry. Kristene has her B.A. in Communications and a Master’s Certificate in Human Resource Management. Previously Kristene has worked in recruiting and
consulting and brings with her over seven years of experience in those areas.
 
 
 

Joe Ali, Chief Operating Officer                                   More

Joe brings over 30 years of operations experience in financial services to his role as Culbert’s chief operating officer. Throughout his career, he has managed large complex equity departments with a focus on process and risk management and implemented changes to internal structures, providing platforms of sustainable solid growth.
 
As a senior managing director at Dain Rauscher Wessels, Joe oversaw more than 125 employees across the U.S. and spearheaded the implementation of a new trading platform that increased overall
efficiencies and revenues. His unique style of communication has helped him recruit, develop and retain key personnel while also growing and maintaining a broad client base.
 
As COO at Culbert, Joe works closely with executive leadership to provide strategic direction for company initiatives and is responsible for executing key performance measures and operational procedures.
 
 
 

Dr. Nancy Gagliano, Chief Medical Officer                    More

Dr. Gagliano brings more than 25 years of clinical and leadership experience to Culbert. Before joining Culbert, Dr. Gagliano served as senior vice president of CVS Health and as Chief Medical Officer of MinuteClinic, CVS Caremark. In these roles, she led operations, physician management, footprint expansion, health system affiliations, as well as innovation of new services including telehealth. Under her leadership, CVS/MinuteClinic grew from 400 to over 1,100 clinics in 6 years, seeing over 5 million patients annually. Prior to this, she served
as senior vice president of Practice Improvement at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)/Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO), where she was responsible for improving patient access, clinical quality and operational efficiency for MGH’s 400 medical practices. In addition, as a physician leader she led efforts to enhance physician productivity, maximize use of the EHR, and to develop leadership talent.
 
Dr. Gagliano completed her M.D. from Harvard Medical School, M.B.A. from Northeastern University and B.S. from Union College. She is a renowned speaker, most recently presenting at the following conferences, among others: IEEE PULSE EHR Visionary Series, Providence Women in Leadership Symposium, and The Wharton Business School Healthcare Conference. Additionally, she was recently recognized by Providence Business News as an industry leader in healthcare services.
 
 
 

Johanna Epstein, VP for Management Consulting         More

Johanna has more than twenty five years of experience managing operations in large, academic healthcare settings.  Her background includes managing multi-specialty physician group practices to include the development of network expansion and growth strategy, standardization of business processes, and patient engagement initiatives such as the design and development of large scale patient access centers and the creation of centralized hospital and physician revenue cycle infrastructures.
While at Culbert Healthcare Solutions, Johanna has worked with a number of clients to implement Patient Access Centers in conjunction with enterprise-wide changes in clinical and revenue cycle technologies. Johanna has written numerous articles for industry publications related to the Patient Engagement and Patient Satisfaction improvement initiatives. In 2015, Johanna partnered with one of her clients in western PA to present on the topic of Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Change Management at HIMSS 2016 in Las Vegas.
 
 
 

Randy Jones, Sr. SVP Consulting Services                 More

Dr. Randy Jones is the Senior Vice President for Consulting Services (Western Region) for Culbert Healthcare Solutions. Jones, a 30-year veteran of the health care industry, has served as chief financial officer, chief administrative officer, and chief executive officer and was most recently the Chief Administrative Officer for Ambulatory Care at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Jones has held significant leadership roles in integrated delivery systems, health plans, physician group practices and the health care technology
industry. Between 2008 and 2010 he was a shareholder and General Manager with Anodyne Health Partners, a physician revenue cycle software company that was acquired by athenaHealth in late 2009. Prior to his role with Anodyne Health Partners, Jones was the President and Chief Executive Officer with UNTHealth, the faculty practice plan of the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Jones holds a doctorate in health care administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, a master’s degree in finance and economics from the University of Oklahoma and an undergraduate degree in general business from the University of Nebraska. He is board certified in health care management (Fellow, America College of Healthcare Executives) and physician group practice management (Fellow, American College of Medical Practice Executives). Jones is a former Medical Service Corps officer with the United States Air Force, was on the staff of the Secretary of Defense in Washington D.C. as a Senior Health Policy Analyst and National Managed Care Program Executive between 1994 and 1997 and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Jones has held faculty appointments in health care management with Texas Christian University, A.T. Still University, and the University of North Texas Health Science Center and has taught graduate courses in health care management, health policy, and health care finance.

Ellen has over 30 years experience in academic physician practice plans and hospital based physician groups. Her background is comprised of leadership roles in revenue cycle, patient access, systems selection, design and implementation and project management. She has extensive experience with GE and Epic. Prior to joining CHS Ellen was the Director of Revenue Cycle Operations at the University of South Florida. She also served as an Associate Executive Director at the University of Connecticut Health Center and created
and managed the legacy physician group at Hartford Hospital.
 
 
 

Jaffer Traish, VP Consulting Services                           More

As the Culbert Epic Practice Director, Jaffer Traish is focused on improving patient care through the marriage of improved clinical and financial operations and analytics with top-ranked electronic health records. Previously, he was the Director of Implementation for Zynx Health where he led innovation and implementation of clinical decision support systems for the US market. Prior to Zynx Health, Traish spent several years at Epic where he led enterprise EHR implementations across large non-profit and academic medical centers in the US.
Traish is passionate about improving patient outcomes with innovative technology, system optimization and talented teams.
 
Traish enjoys mentorship, challenging leaders to reach their potential with improved productivity and collaboration. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also completed a Certificate of Environmental Studies. He remains close to the academic medical community at UT-Austin and enjoys presenting at informatics conferences. While not immersed in HIT efforts, he enjoys Austin's outdoor activities and is a local coffee-house and soccer enthusiast.
 
 
 

Alan Worsham, VP Consulting Services                        More

Alan Worsham has spent more than thirty (30) years in healthcare with a passion for helping clinicians, operational leaders and information technology professionals work in concert to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Alan has spent a large part of his career in academic medical centers where he held executive roles in IT and led enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives. As a consultant, he has used his deep expertise in physician practice management, operations and technology to assist
healthcare organizations across the country. Prior to joining Culbert, Alan was an Executive Director with Sutter Health responsible for Sutter Community Connect, a SaaS-model, Epic-based, electronic health record and practice management suite.
 
 
 

Marc Bourassa, Controller                                          More

Marc has over twenty year of finance, accounting and management experience with a Bachelors from Suffolk University. Marc joined Culbert in 2015 and brings with him experience from several industries including technology, healthcare, manufacturing, non-profit and engineering consulting. In Marc’s previous companies where he has served as Controller and been a member of the company’s executive team, he has worked to streamline and automate functions within finance and accounting to help companies flourish through times of
growth.
