Julie McGuire is a registered nurse who transitioned into IT as a servant leader who strives to close gaps on IT investments in partnership with clinical and operational partners. Before joining Culbert, Ms. McGuire most recently led efforts to define a unified clinical communications strategy for a west coast pediatric health system. She also served as Director, Enterprise Systems Clinical at Texas Children’s Hospital, the nation’s largest pediatric integrated health system for 6 years. In this role, Julie spearheaded the clinical IT strategy and its implementation with responsibility for 100+ staff and a multi-million dollar operational/capital budget. During her tenure, she co-chaired key governance committees in partnership with CMIO, AMIO, nursing clinical informatics, and operational leadership to maximize Epic and other clinical technology capabilities. Ms. McGuire chaired the HIMSS Stage 7 committee led to attestation for both EMRAM and OEMRAM for Texas Children’s in 2019. She has extensive experience in Epic implementations including modules such as Beaker, Cupid, Beacon, upgrade, and enhancement strategy focused on quality and efficiency, clinical communication solutions, and access efforts.

Ms. McGuire completed her Master of Science of Nursing at The University of Texas Health Science Center Cizik School of Nursing. She is active in many professional organizations and most recently participated in mass vaccination efforts with the Medical Service Corp Homeland Preparedness Project in her county. She also volunteers her time as a mentor as part of the Talent Path program.
