Rob founded Culbert Healthcare Solutions after twenty years of healthcare information technology experience. Rob began his career at IDX serving large health systems and academic medical centers and his areas of responsibility included programming, Western Region Programming Manager, Eastern Region Customer Support Manager and finally Western Regional Manager for Customer Support and Implementations. For the past eleven years Rob served a number of the largest healthcare organizations in the country delivering and marketing Clinical and Financial Systems Implementation, Revenue Cycle Improvement, Interim Staffing for Practice Management, Billing Operations and Information Technology.
Brad has over twelve years of experience working with entrepreneurial companies to develop and deliver information technology products and services to the healthcare industry. After managing numerous revenue cycle and operations transformation consulting engagements for large academic medical centers and managed care organizations, he then served as a strategy consultant for a venture capital firm in Zurich, Switzerland assisting their biotech and pharma portfolio companies to enter various international markets.
Craig joined Culbert Healthcare in June 2019 as Chief Operating Officer. He is a dedicated and energetic operations and finance executive with diverse experience in fast-paced healthcare business settings. Prior to Culbert, Craig successfully collaborated with industry leaders and founders of emerging growth professional services and healthcare firms like Caro Research, Boston Health Economics and Humedica. He has a demonstrated track record of helping firms to develop and implement high-value financial, operational, and growth strategies.
Craig has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bentley University and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Assumption College.
Dr. Gagliano brings more than 25 years of clinical and leadership experience to Culbert. Before joining Culbert, Dr. Gagliano served as senior vice president of CVS Health and as Chief Medical Officer of MinuteClinic, CVS Caremark. In these roles, she led operations, physician management, footprint expansion, health system affiliations, as well as innovation of new services including telehealth. Under her leadership, CVS/MinuteClinic grew from 400 to over 1,100 clinics in 6 years, seeing over 5 million patients annually. Prior to this, she served as senior vice president of Practice Improvement at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)/Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO), where she was responsible for improving patient access, clinical quality and operational efficiency for MGH’s 400 medical practices. In addition, as a physician leader she led efforts to enhance physician productivity, maximize use of the EHR, and to develop leadership talent. Dr. Gagliano completed her M.D. from Harvard Medical School, M.B.A. from Northeastern University and B.S. from Union College. She is a renowned speaker, most recently presenting at the following conferences, among others: IEEE PULSE EHR Visionary Series, Providence Women in Leadership Symposium, and The Wharton Business School Healthcare Conference. Additionally, she was recently recognized by Providence Business News as an industry leader in healthcare services.
Ellen has over 30 years experience in academic physician practice plans and hospital based physician groups. Her background is comprised of leadership roles in revenue cycle, patient access, systems selection, design and implementation and project management. She has extensive experience with GE and Epic. Prior to joining CHS Ellen was the Director of Revenue Cycle Operations at the University of South Florida. She also served as an Associate Executive Director at the University of Connecticut Health Center and created and managed the legacy physician group at Hartford Hospital.
Alan Worsham has spent more than thirty (30) years in healthcare with a passion for helping clinicians, operational leaders and information technology professionals work in concert to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Alan has spent a large part of his career in academic medical centers where he held executive roles in IT and led enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives. As a consultant, he has used his deep expertise in physician practice management, operations and technology to assist healthcare organizations across the country. Prior to joining Culbert, Alan was an Executive Director with Sutter Health responsible for Sutter Community Connect, a SaaS-model, Epic-based, electronic health record and practice management suite.
Dean has over 30 years of executive leadership experience in academic practice and hospital settings.
Prior to joining Culbert in 2017, for nearly two decades he served as President of Connecticut Children’s Specialty Group (CCSG), a subsidiary of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (CCMC). Under his leadership, CCSG grew more than six-fold. He led CCSG’s integration as a wholly owned subsidiary into CCMC, improving strategic and operational alignment. Dean also internalized the revenue cycle function, resulting in a $3M annual revenue improvement. As SVP Marketing and Business Development at CCMC, he drove 40%+ growth in regional inpatient market share by establishing a new partnership with a hospital system.
Dean served as a Board Director for the Child Health Development Institute and the Association of Administrators in Academic Pediatrics (AAAP).
Dean holds a Master of Business Administration with concentration in Health Care Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Society from Brown University.
Kiera brings over 25 years’ experience in Healthcare Information Technology to Culbert. She spent the majority of her career at GE Healthcare / IDX supporting a diverse customer base, developing innovative training programs, and leading an education team. After leaving GE, Kiera worked at Boston Medical Center providing both system and revenue cycle expertise to the organization during and after a GE system implementation. Kiera leads the GE/Allscripts consultant team.
Kristina Rickhoff is an Executive Consultant for Culbert Healthcare Solutions. Kristina is a results-driven leader with extensive revenue cycle management and healthcare operations experience in hospitals, physician group practices/faculty practice plans, and the healthcare technology sector. She is a subject matter expert in revenue cycle operations, ambulatory and surgical operations, business and strategic planning, coding and documentation improvement, managed care contracting, quality management/reporting, clinical integration, patient satisfaction, and health information technology.
During her 15-year tenure at Washington University School of Medicine, Kristina was a key leader in many revenue cycle management initiatives that led to operational efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of the revenue cycle, including patient access, coding, billing, accounts receivable management, and analytics. She led several health information technology conversions, including the initial transition from paper to electronic health record and work-by-exception based accounts receivable management to the latest in leading the planning and project development of the transition to Epic’s EHR and Resolute Professional Billing. At Hospital Sisters Health System, Kristina was the director of the Southern Illinois Division’s business office. She served as the Access and Revenue Cycle Readiness Lead ensuring enhanced operational readiness through the development of tools and processes to correct errors at the ‘root’ for their upcoming Epic Resolute Hospital Billing SBO implementation. Since joining Culbert, Kristina has managed major operational and technical revenue cycle optimization initiatives. She has been responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of all policies and procedures relating to revenue cycle operations. She championed Epic Professional Billing revenue cycle improvements including within patient access, medical records, coding, billing and collections to aid in the resolution of identified revenue cycle issues. Notable metric improvements include reduction of first pass denial rate, increased collections, decrease in overall and aged A/R (despite increased charges).
Kristina holds an undergraduate degree in health services technical management from DeVry University and a graduate degree in business administration from McKendree University. She is a certified Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT®) and is certified in Epic’s Resolute Hospital Billing SBO application. Kris is an active member of AHIMA, currently seeking certification in clinical documentation improvement, and is an adjunct instructor of coding and billing courses necessary to achieve coding and billing certification.
Kate brings more than 15 years of full service HR experience to Culbert Healthcare. She previously worked for multiple healthcare companies including, Lahey Clinic, Elliott Health System and Brightview Senior Living. Kate takes immense pride in building relationships and developing people. Kate received her Bachelor’s Degree from Salem State University and her Master’s Degree from Suffolk University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and cooking.
DJ joined Culbert as Controller in September 2017. For over 15 years DJ has worked in a variety of industries including the biotech space. With a background in both public and private companies, DJ has worked to improve and implement policies and procedures that helped the finance group and company adhere to all applicable regulations. DJ has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bentley College.
